Alphonso Howard is a California state prisoner who was convicted of first-degree murder and rape. Howard was originally sentenced to death and later had his sentence to commuted to life. He is currently incarcerated at the California Institution for Men (CIM) in Chino, California. While serving his sentence, he has been pursuing higher education and studying journalism
