Anthony Sowell (1959–2021), known as the “Cleveland Strangler,” was an American serial killer convicted of murdering multiple women in Cleveland, Ohio, between 2007 and 2009. His crimes gained national attention after the remains of numerous victims were discovered inside and around his home, making it one of the most shocking serial murder investigations in modern Ohio history.
