John Mark Byers step father of Christopher Byers who along with Stevie Branch and Michael Moore were murdered in the West Memphis 3 killings. Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley Jr.  were convicted of the killings. Released years later under an Alford plea. Byers died in a car accident on June 18, 2020. Three page handwritten letter from Byers while serving time hand signed, John Mark Byers.
