Edmund Kemper (born December 18, 1948) is an American serial killer and necrophile who murdered 10 people. Standing 6-foot-9, he was nicknamed the "Co-ed Killer" because he preyed mostly on female college students hitchhiking in Santa Cruz, California, between 1972 and 1973. He later confessed to the crimes and is serving life in prison.
