Glenn Taylor Helzer is an American spree killer, former stockbroker, and self-proclaimed prophet who founded and led a violent Mormon-derived cult known as the "Children of Thunder". In the summer of 2000, Helzer orchestrated a gruesome murder and extortion plot in the San Francisco Bay Area that resulted in the deaths of five people.
