Jeffrey Dahmer (1960–1994), infamously known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal” and the “Milwaukee Monster,” was an American serial killer and sex offender who murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Dahmer’s crimes involved dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism, making his case one of the most disturbing and widely known serial murder investigations in American history. He was arrested in 1991 after a victim escaped from his apartment, and he was later beaten to death in prison in 1994.
