Joel Rifkin (born 1959) is an American serial killer convicted of murdering multiple women in New York between 1989 and 1993. Rifkin primarily targeted sex workers in the New York metropolitan area, and investigators eventually connected him to at least 17 murders. His arrest following a traffic stop on Long Island ended one of the largest serial murder investigations in New York history.
