Willis Virgil McCall (July 21, 1909 – April 28, 1994) was the sheriff of Lake County from 1944 to 1972. In 1949 McCall gained national attention with the so-called case of the Groveland Four. 70 years later, The Groveland Four were pardoned in January 2019. Two vintage thimbles which read, "Compliments of Sheriff Willis V. McCall." The print on one of the two thimbles is faded.
