Reproductions of two letters written by Whitman on 7-31-66 and 8-1-66. The 7-31-66 is typed until he is interrupted by a phone call in which he goes back to the letter at 3:00am on 8-1-66. The 2nd letter is written at 12:30am on 8-1-66 and Whitman starts it by saying, "To Whom It May Concern, I have just taken my mothers life..." Signed, Charles J Whitman.
