Phil Spector was an immensely influential American record producer and songwriter who revolutionized pop and rock music in the 1960s, but later became equally infamous for his conviction for second-degree murder. He is widely remembered for developing the landmark "Wall of Sound" production technique. Spector passed away in prison in 2021 at the age of 81.
