Richard Ramirez (1960–2013), known as the “Night Stalker,” was an American serial killer who committed a series of murders, assaults, and burglaries across California between 1984 and 1985. His crimes terrorized the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas before he was captured, convicted, and sentenced to death. He died in prison in 2013.
