Ted Kaczynski (1942–2023), infamously known as the “Unabomber,” was an American domestic terrorist and former mathematics prodigy who carried out a nationwide mail bombing campaign between 1978 and 1995. Kaczynski targeted universities, airlines, and individuals connected to modern technology and industrial society, killing three people and injuring many others. His manifesto, Industrial Society and Its Future, and his secluded lifestyle in a remote Montana cabin made the Unabomber case one of the most infamous FBI investigations in American history.
