William Bonin, famously known as the "Freeway Killer," was an American serial killer and sex offender. Between 1979 and 1980, he tortured, raped, and murdered at least 21 young boys and men in Southern California, dumping their mutilated bodies alongside local highways. He was executed by lethal injection in 1996.
