Edward Gein was a grave robber, suspected cannibal, and necrophiliac, and convicted killer who was known as the Plainfield Ghoul and the Butcher of Plainfield.
 
Around 1995 and before the internet went full swing, a Gein aficionado local to Plainfield, Wisconsin had located where the Gein house used to be on the property. The house was outlined with a ridge of soil which still had some foundation and debris sticking up from it. 

This nail was among the items recovered on Gein's property almost 30 years ago.
