Robert William Pickton Port was a Canadian serial killer known as the Pig Farmer Killer or The Butcher from Coquitlam, which is east of Vancouver, Canada.
Pickton worked at his family pig farm for years before inheriting it in the 1990's. 
To an undercover RCMP officer posing as a cellmate, Pickton confessed to 49 murders, upset with himself for coming up short of 50 murders.
Pickton was convicted of six counts of 2nd degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
On May 19, 2024 another inmate attacked Pickton at the Port Cartier Prison in Quebec and died on May 31, 2024.
