Roger Dale Smith aka Pincushion.  Good friend of Charles Manson's from the time Manson arrived at San Quentin's Death Row. RD was once called "the most dangerous, most psychopathic inmate housed at San Quentin".
Smith passed away while serving a life in California.  Those who have read the book "Taming The Beast" by Ed George should be familiar with RD Smith.
