Roy Lewis Norris who along with his co-defendant Lawrence Sigmund Bittaker were known as the "Murder Mack" and "Toolbox Killers." The pair were convicted of 5 murders in Southern California. Bittaker was sentenced to death while Norris received 45 years to life.
A box of Nat Sherman Classic cigarettes smoked by Norris while he was housed in Corcoran, California. There are 6 cigarette butts affixed to the inside of the box (1 of which is loose)Norris has drawn a caricature self portrait of himself smoking a Sherman.
As some may recall, Norris and Bittaker would lace Nat Sherman cigarettes with PCP which they would then smoke with unsuspecting hitchhikers they picked up in Southern California which only adds to how extremely unique and interesting piece.
On the back of the box Roy has written and hand signed, Painted charictature is watercolor pencil with a handmade Rabbit Hair brush. Less thab perfect - I admit. Roy L. Norris.
