Chicago serial killer John Wayne Gacy aka Pogo the Clown who was convicted of 33 murders of which 29 of those bodies were found on Gacy's property, most buried beneath his crawlspace at 8213 W. Summerdale Avenue in Norwood Park in Des Plaines, Illinois. Sentenced to death for his crimes, Gacy was executed by lethal injection on May 10th, 1994 in the State of Illinois.
15” x 8” American Eagle painting. One of Gacy's last paintings and one of only two which we've seen that were actually signed on the front in marker.
Slight wear on the left hand corners which would not be visible once this piece is framed. Gacy has signed this piece three times. On the front "J. W. Gacy" and on the back Gacy has written a message to the recipient who was a gentlemen Gacy used to work for prior to his arrest in the 1970's. This painting is much more scarce than his popular themes like Pogo, Skull Clown and his Hi Ho series. The back of the painting is signed and reads, "Enjoy the eagle as much as I enjoyed doing it for you. Best Wishes, John W Gacy 15" x 18" #1690 The Eagle John W Gacy".
