Ted Bundy 10 Letter Lot 1976-1987 with Prison Photo and County Jail Memo

Ted Bundy Lot consisting of ten letters with eight envelopes, one unpublished photo taken at Florida State Prison and one copy of a Memo from the Dade County Jail 1979 while Bundy was on trial for the Chi Omega murders.  The correspondence includes letters from four different facilities in Utah, Colorado and Florida where Bundy was housed.  They are written to a woman who knew Theodore Bundy during his time with the Young Republicans in Seattle, WA.  Very personal content to these letters as the woman Bundy was writing was friends with Ted’s mother, his wife and daughter.  They are mentioned in most of the correspondence from the time Bundy was sentenced to death.  The two corresponded over the course of his incarceration.

1 – Ted Bundy typed two page letter, one sheet of paper dated October 14, 1976.  Hand signed, With deepest affection, Ted”. (no envelope)

2 – Five page typed letter on five sheets of paper dated June 27, 1977 from Glenwood Springs, CO.  Excellent content!  This is the first letter Ted wrote to his friend after being captured from one of his escapes.  Hand signed, “Ted”. (no envelope)

3 – One page typed letter dated October 5, 1978 from Tallahassee, FL.  Hand signed, “Ted”. Includes the original mailing envelope postmarked October 10, 1978.

4 – Four page handwritten letter dated October 22, 1981.  Signed, “My love to you and Eddie, Ted”. Includes the original envelope postmarked October 23, 1981 hand signed, “T. Bundy”. Writing on the back of the envelope not in Bundy’s hand.

5 – Four page handwritten letter dated February 23 hand signed, “With love, Ted”.  Includes the original prison mailing envelope postmarked February 24, 1982 and signed, “T. Bundy”.

6 – Four page handwritten letter dated August 31, 1982 hand signed at the close, “My love to you and yours, Ted”.  Includes the original mailing envelope postmarked September 1, 1982. Signed, “T. Bundy”. Small doodle on the front of the envelope in an unknown hand.

7 – Three page handwritten letter dated April 12, 1984 signed at the close, “Love, Ted”. Includes the original mailing envelope postmarked April 13, 1984 and signed, “T. Bundy”.

8 – One page handwritten letter dated September 6, 1984 and signed, “My love to you all, Ted”. Includes the original mailing envelope postmarked September 7, 1984 and hand signed, “T. Bundy”.

9 – Five page handwritten letter dated May 22, 1986 and signed at the close, “Peace, Ted”.  Includes the original mailing envelope postmarked May 23, 1986 with the left corner of the envelope torn where Bundy wrote his name and address.  Only a portion of his return address is left.

10 – Two page handwritten letter dated June 26, 1987 signed, “Ted”. Includes the original prison stamped envelope signed, “T. Bundy”.

11 - Unpublished photo taken with three other condemned prisoners at Florida State Prison.

12 - One page copy of a 1979 Memo from the Dade County Jail while Bundy was on trial for the Chi Omega Murders.  Addressed to ‘All Members Team 4’ from Sgt. Martin Kratz Team Leader #4 listing Bundy’s Legal Staff and granting them admittance.
