Dennis Rader (born 1945), infamously known as the “BTK Killer” (“Bind, Torture, Kill”), terrorized Wichita, Kansas, for decades while committing a series of murders between 1974 and 1991. Rader taunted law enforcement and the media with letters detailing his crimes before his capture in 2005. His double life as a seemingly ordinary community member and church leader made the BTK case one of the most shocking serial murder investigations in American history.
