James Schoenfeld on July 15, 1976 with his brother Richard and their friend, Fred Woods, hijacked a school bus full of Dairyland Elementary School students in Chowchilla, CA.  The older Schoenfeld was paroled in 2015. One page typed letter which includes the original prison stamped mailing envelope.
